October 8th

Here's a look at what all of you have been praying for. Beautiful isn't it. That's what we think. We are getting real good at telling how much is in the tube before it actually gets measured. I'm going to say that's about 6 cc's. Not bad for 20 minutes. The two little boxes on the floor are the chest tube drains. Jack has had a good day. He is resting well and wakes up enough to move around a little and mobilize some of the fluid. In the other picture I was just making sure he would be able to hold his own churro when his mom takes him to the state fair. Thanks for all the posts. You don't want to know how many times we check each day to read your comments.

What a beautiful little boy! It is so good to see the bag filling with the precious liquid. I am so eager each day to check the blog to see if there is any word. I am humbled by the many comments and the number of prayers in behalf of Baby Jack. We have truly seen a miracle and I am so grateful. I pray that the miracle continues.

That is a beautiful bag! And what a beautiful little guy! Somebody get that kid a churro!

I too look forward to reading your updates, especially the past few days. Jack will be in our family prayers for a long long time...so will his parents. Thanks for letting me witness your miracle eventhough you don't know me!

Sir Jack, you are a "tender mercy". In 7-short weeks(very long for your parents), your spirit of strength and endurance is a powerful testament to the Lord's goodness. May heaven's blessings continue to shine on you and your parents.

Sarah and Darren, you guys will be missed tonight at our youth temple outing. Sarah's sweet spirit and Darren's taking charge with those rowdy boys (and wonderful pronunciation of the Spanish names)!! We will be thinking or you.

Definately great progress lately. Thank you Jack for that! Sounds like soon he will be holding churros and becoming more mobile than you may want. He is beautiful and I can't wait to meet him.

You guys are so faithful and full of strength. I pray that Jack can go home with you soon and that strength endures.

I've never thought of it as liquid gold before, but it is a beautiful sight to behold! Three cheers for Jack!!

After this week I may have to buy Revlon stock. I'm going through mascara like water thanks to baby Jack. But we're hoping that from here on out they will only be tears of joy. Love you all.

I don't think I will ever look at a bag of urine the same way again. Way to go Jack! As for churros and the State Fair, I'm very nervous. I'll have to invite Jack over to play with Jake to enjoy an avacado shake and some refined classical music. I look forward to teaching Jack the finer things in life.

Love you guys and think of you often.

Your warm weather friends in St. George have finally joined in the comments! We thought it was time to get with the program and get signed up so we can add our two cents to all of our blogging friends and family. We look at your blog daily and keep you in all of our prayers. We also pray for the medical team and your support system. Since so many blessings come from the sunny side of the state we have put your names on the prayer roll in the SG Temple. We will keep doing so until Jack is ready to head south on I-15 to come play with us!

What a cute little picture! He's adorable these days, especially with all the great fall accessories - I hear hospital tubes are really in style this year. I'm glad you sound upbeat this week, and we'll keep praying that Jack continues his upward progression. I'm sure his angel Grandmas continue to watch over him. Speaking of angel Grandmas, maybe what Jack needs is just more chocolate.
