October 8th
Here's a look at what all of you have been praying for. Beautiful isn't it. That's what we think. We are getting real good at telling how much is in the tube before it actually gets measured. I'm going to say that's about 6 cc's. Not bad for 20 minutes. The two little boxes on the floor are the chest tube drains. Jack has had a good day. He is resting well and wakes up enough to move around a little and mobilize some of the fluid. In the other picture I was just making sure he would be able to hold his own churro when his mom takes him to the state fair. Thanks for all the posts. You don't want to know how many times we check each day to read your comments.

Bless his little heart, he is such a trooper. You guys are in my prayers.
What a beautiful little boy! It is so good to see the bag filling with the precious liquid. I am so eager each day to check the blog to see if there is any word. I am humbled by the many comments and the number of prayers in behalf of Baby Jack. We have truly seen a miracle and I am so grateful. I pray that the miracle continues.
Lots of Love, Aunt Lulu
Thanks for being such an icon of faith and family strength. I am fortified by your commitment to your son. Your willingness to share your information and your quiet reliance on your convictions are a powerful example to me. I look forward to your blogs each day.

Sweet little Baby Jack and his incredible parents have made an impact on us and we just wanted to let you know. We pray for him and think of him often. It's crazy Sarah- I haven't seen you for so long but you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. Keep on keepin' on.

Thinking of churros...that's a good sign! Surely his dad's son. We continue to pray and think of you 3 often throughout the day!
Wahoo for Jack. Way to go little buddy. We think about you everyday!
That is a beautiful bag! And what a beautiful little guy! Somebody get that kid a churro!
I too look forward to reading your updates, especially the past few days. Jack will be in our family prayers for a long long time...so will his parents. Thanks for letting me witness your miracle eventhough you don't know me!
Sir Jack, you are a "tender mercy". In 7-short weeks(very long for your parents), your spirit of strength and endurance is a powerful testament to the Lord's goodness. May heaven's blessings continue to shine on you and your parents.
Hurray for Jack! What a blessing to see every little improvement! We love you and keep you in our prayers!
Sarah and Darren, you guys will be missed tonight at our youth temple outing. Sarah's sweet spirit and Darren's taking charge with those rowdy boys (and wonderful pronunciation of the Spanish names)!! We will be thinking or you.
Definately great progress lately. Thank you Jack for that! Sounds like soon he will be holding churros and becoming more mobile than you may want. He is beautiful and I can't wait to meet him.
You guys are so faithful and full of strength. I pray that Jack can go home with you soon and that strength endures.
You don't want to know how often I check your post to see how he is doing! You guys are amazing! We are always thinking of you and praying for all of you. He is amazing!
I've never thought of it as liquid gold before, but it is a beautiful sight to behold! Three cheers for Jack!!
After this week I may have to buy Revlon stock. I'm going through mascara like water thanks to baby Jack. But we're hoping that from here on out they will only be tears of joy. Love you all.
I never thought a picture of urine could make me so happy! We check your blog everyday and are constantly praying for you both and especially for little Jack. What a trooper!
Love,
Bekah (Dudley) Goldie
We are so happy to see that Jack is continuing to do better. We check on him every day and pray that he stays strong, gets well enough for his next surgery, recovers without complication and finally gets to go home and start acting like the sweet little baby he is. Jack is such a fighter and you guys are truly inspirational. Bobby & Jen Wright
Dear Sarah and Darrin,
You have been in our thoughts and prayers this past month. We are cheering for you 3. Jack is darling and how lucky he is to come to your arms and home.
We love you.
Scott and Lori
Such a huge relief to hear that Jack is continuing to do well! We are praying for you several times a day. Go Jack! Keep it up! We check the blog every day hoping that it will bring more good news. Hannah and William especially love seeing the pictures of baby Jack and love to pray for him. Thanks for keeping us so informed. We love you.
Love, The Binghams
I don't think I will ever look at a bag of urine the same way again. Way to go Jack! As for churros and the State Fair, I'm very nervous. I'll have to invite Jack over to play with Jake to enjoy an avacado shake and some refined classical music. I look forward to teaching Jack the finer things in life.
Love you guys and think of you often.
Kel
Sarah-
I wish I had some profound words to say to fix everything. I just want to make it all better for you. Please know that I am thinking about you all the time and that you are all in my prayers.
XOXO- Cari Kapele

Go Jack! What a champ! We are so glad to get the updates from your blog. We think of you guys every day and wish we could be there in person to show our support and love for you guys. But just know we are cheering Jack on from Chicago. We know Jack and our little Sarah knew each other up in heaven and were waiting together to come down here to earth and she is looking forward to seeing him again in person! (So are the rest of us!) Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Hello from California. Yes, you are legendary even here, so far away. This is the best novel ever, the story of someone so precious and dear. You are some writer and you have there some boy...Our love goes out to Little Jack and his special family. We love and admire your faith and tenacity. Our prayers are that he will continue to improve and get better. Love,
Freda Weber (Wendy's sister)
Hi -
You don't know me, but I am a friend of the Homer's and have been watching your blog and praying for you. I just wanted you to know that there are people you don't even know who are praying for you.
Plus, I am a huge Ute fan, so I know you are good people!!!

Your warm weather friends in St. George have finally joined in the comments! We thought it was time to get with the program and get signed up so we can add our two cents to all of our blogging friends and family. We look at your blog daily and keep you in all of our prayers. We also pray for the medical team and your support system. Since so many blessings come from the sunny side of the state we have put your names on the prayer roll in the SG Temple. We will keep doing so until Jack is ready to head south on I-15 to come play with us!
Sarah,
You can't imagine how much your little family is inspiring us all. The bulging foley bag is so exciting! He is amazing, and so are you! The prayers from Tooele will keep comin'!
Love you lots,
Mel
Wow!! It is so exciting to hear that he is doing well. You guys have been in our prayers. We hope that Jack keeps up on the improvements. We are ever praying for him and you guys. He is such a cute little guy. We am glad the news is good.
The Gainey Family
What a cute little picture! He's adorable these days, especially with all the great fall accessories - I hear hospital tubes are really in style this year. I'm glad you sound upbeat this week, and we'll keep praying that Jack continues his upward progression. I'm sure his angel Grandmas continue to watch over him. Speaking of angel Grandmas, maybe what Jack needs is just more chocolate.
Darren and Sarah,
That's so good to hear about Jack's recent improvements. Your guys attitudes have been so amazing throughout this whole experience. You guys are great.
Spencer and Sierra
Darren, Sarah, and Jack,
We have wept with gratitude and shouted for joy after witnessing the majesty and mercy of God. May He continue to bless your family.
Love,
Nate & Kara
We missed you on Sunday at Grandma's house, but it was good to get updated by your family, Sarah. I can hardly wait to meet little Jack in person, and we continue to pray for recovery for him and strength and peace for you and Darren. You are special people, and I'm glad you can feel the Lord's love during this immensely difficult time.
Love to you all...Aunt Shan
When I read your blog and see pictures of this beautiful boy it is no wonder why he came to the parents he did. You two are amazing. We are praying for you and know the Lord will continue to bless your family!
