September 6th

Today marks two weeks since Jack had his heart repaired. He has been such a champ. We are pleased to report that today Jack's blood pressure is sustained without the help of medication. The past few days he has been weened off Epinephrine, Dopamine, Vasopressin, and Milranone. He continues to receive Amiodarone to help with the arrhythmia, Fentanyl for pain and whatever minerals he may need to keep his body in balance. They also turned down the ventilator today to let him adjust to breathing on his own. He has made such improvement during the last three days that we can hardly believe it. It is hard watching him get better knowing he is going to have to recover again from another surgery. However, the next operation should be less complicated and allow him to recover fairly quickly. We hope to have many more days similar to this one.

Hi,

You don't know me, but I found your site through a good friend of mine; Heather Hinckley. I didn't have much time to read through the posts, but from what I have gathered, you are amazing. To see this small infant already face adult size trials, only means he is by far greater than the rest of us and you are too for being his family. May you be blessed and watched over through the remainder of his surgeries and my God always keep at your side.

Much Love,
