Post Op Day 7

Today has been a hard day for little Jack. After a few days of strong improvement Jack's blood pressure began to decrease without responding to the medications. The doctors have been trying to figure out all day how to correct the problems he was having, but thus far to no avail. The blood pressure in his lungs was high enough for the doctors to be concerned. They decided to take him to the Cath lab this evening, inject dye into his heart and see what the problem was. Through the procedure tonight they hopefully will be able to decide if the problem is with his anatomy and would need another operation, or if it is something that can be corrected with medication. If need be they will operate in the morning. We will keep you updated.

Queridos Darren y Sarah,
Me alegro tanto que Jack haya salido bien de su cirugia. El es un hermoso bebe.
El corazon se me rompe de solo pensar en lo que han estado pasando.
Mis oraciones van hacia ustedes y sus familiares.

I'm so glad you did this. I always get confused when Mom tells me what's going on. I hope little Jack is doing okay this morning. Tell him I LOVE HIM and am so excited to be his favorite auntie.

Congrats on your darling boy. Our prayers are with you. My friend's son, Justin Squire, was in the hospital for heart surgery last month and was next to little Jack. We hope the best for your cute family.

Dear little other daughter--I think you've probably got all the angels in heaven working on that little Jack. You'll come back to us here in L and D 100 years more wise and mature, life has a way of doing that. Love you and see you later--your work mom
